Those tiny, tiny Captain America heads look amazing! Marvel Legends are small enough, let along to get the detail in those Marvel Universe heads. Bravo, Olds!!
SUPER-Steady hands!!! Have you ever tried to do hot rod or car pinstriping with steady hands like that?

I would love to take credit for the red stripes, but those are factory applied :) The main thing I did on that one was repaint the face, touched up the belt, painted over the serial number, and sealed/dullcoated it.

I was worried about taking on the task, since they are so small.

Hmm... Pinstriping that could be a cool hobby to learn

Thank you very much  I almost said no to doing the job, because of their scale.

Well I have a little bad news about my pictures that are not hosted here. For over a decade I've been using the free personal webpage that Comcast gave to it's customers to host my custom pictures, but on October 8th they ended that service. For now the pictures are still up, but I don't know how much longer they will be online. So for now I can no longer access the FTP login to upload new pictures or to even delete them. So I'll be on the hunt for a new hosting option.

Toxin

Postby 1987olds442 » Sun Jul 10, 2016 3:42 pm

I'm slowly getting back into customizing, and I was doing a shelf reorganization. After looking at the lack luster paint on Toxin I decided to give it a minor repaint. I dry brushed some red over the maroon and then added a little black wash to the bright factory red. I also touched up the face some as well.

Nice Job on Toxin and the Red on the Paint Job really pops and did a great job with it.

1987olds442's: Storm

Postby 1987olds442 » Mon May 07, 2018 3:02 pm

Hey guys, I'm slowly "emphasizing the slowly part" getting back into doing some customizing. Here is a Storm custom that I just finished. I started this a good while back before they even announced the Hasbro one, but life sidetracked it for a while.

The same thing happened to me with Thrawn. I spent about a month working on him including multiple attempts to sculpt a head like he appeared in Rebels and just before I finished him he was revealed for the Black Series. It kind of sucks but you get so far along you have to finish anyway.

She looks good. You should be proud.
