Hi Gang!

I'm beginning to build my Hall of Justice and I'm using housing foam and I've never worked with it before. Would a hot knife be the best tool to use to cut/shape the pieces I need?

I figure that's my best option, but thought I'd consult the experts..

Thanks for the tip, where would I find this hot wire and is there a more specific term for the so-called employees to understand?

Haha no problem. It's literally called a hot wire cutter or foam wire cutter. If you go to a shop that sells hobby stuff like model cars, planes, trains, etc., they'll more than likely carry a variety of options. Gamesworkshop sells them, too, but they're probably a little pricey from them. You can get one that's like a jigsaw that you hold by hand and it heats up or one that has a base and you can pass the foam through the hot wire. Depending on how steady your hand is and whether or not you need super straight cuts, the one with a base is the better option for super straight cuts but the hand held one gives you more maneuverability depending on what you're working on. Hot wire is the agreed upon method as the best way to cut foam.
