I started in my late 20s, too. The girl I was dating at the time thought comics and toys were for dorks so I just looked at them from a distance. Once we broke up, it was open season and now my rooms are overflowing with toys, comics and other collectibles.

Hi everybody. I was a big Super Powers fan when I was about 5, and I was crushed when Kenner discontinued the line. I moved on to the ToyBiz and Batman movie lines, but it wasn't the same. I saw a couple of the DC Super Heroes figures when they first came out, and bought a couple, but resisted buying them all (mistake!), thinking that I shouldn't buy toys as an adult. Last year, my young son's love of super heroes gave me an excuse to buy action figures again. I wasn't happy with the figures made for kids, so I have been buying the good stuff, DCUC. I've been a little obsessive, and I've managed to track down about 90 figures in about a year and a half through shows, ebay, and clearance bins. A lot of the figures, particularly the more valuable unopened figures are hidden away, but my son has about 60. He is taking great care of his figures and is pumped to have completed his first BAF, Atom Smasher. I've got to slow down buying before my wife realizes how much I'm spending on toys, but I thought I'd give this forum a try, particularly for BAF parts trades.

Hey Gfoster. Welcome to the forum! I've unlocked your account so post your hearts content.

I can totally relate to how easy it is to lose track on how much you're spending on toys. Sometimes even I don't realize how much I'm spending on toys!! :smlol:
