Really enjoyed the 1st episode, especially when they showed Dr.Fate's helmet.

That's was cool ... and I'm going to give this show another shot ... I didn't like the 1st show and I'm glad that Rattrap96 mentioned Dr. Fate's helmet here.

Thanks for mentioning it! :)

I enjoyed it...WAY too predictable and kinda cheesy pilot, but then pilots are generally rough to begin with. It has some good potential, but I was kinda hoping for a 2-part pilot, just to show how desperate the occult needs John.

But seeing Nabu gives me a lot of hope for the show

Yep I'm going to have to watch it over again now. Either I missed part of it somehow or something, because I didn't get to see the scene showing Fate's helmet, and man since I knew ahead of time they'd show it at some point in the show, I did keep an eye out. :|

Nabu appears within 1 minute of them entering her dads hideout...then a second time a few more minutes later; very short but it's awesome

I caught it the second time around today. Short but cool indeed! I also forgot to mention, I've always admired the artwork at the end scene. When I first saw it I wondered how much was comic derived or who actually did it, it was some beautiful work.

I think it was all comic derived. I recognized covers and panels (redrawn to add Matt Ryan's face) by Bradstreet, Dillon, Phillips, and Simpson.

I think the guy playing Constantine was really good. I thought the plot for a pilot wasn't very good as far as a hook for the average viewer unfamiliar with the character.
