Ok I'm a closet Gleek; the Glee fan, not the blue monkey so I'm actually not that off-put by this. I don't know what it is but first Grant Gustin as the Flash and now Melissa Benoist is Supergirl. It is a little funny.

There's a lot that has me wary about this project, but the costume isn't one of them:

My cousin just showed me this...I like it overall just don't care for the red leggings with the red boots combo; should've made it either skin colored of the same blue as her shirt

Otherwise that's my only gripe (other than the actress and not knowing her at all, plus she doesn't look Kara enough for me); but hopefully more pics will hold her in a better light...

Not a fan of the boots or pantyhose. But it's light years better than what I expected. Can't say I've seen anything the actress has been in, but maybe it's just this photo, she doesn't scream Supergirl to me. Maybe it's just a case of the photographer saying, "Show me your sad, dull 'Man of Steel' face"?

The costume is alright, I'm not expecting much for a TV adaptation and this.......isn't much. The actress playing the role.......I dunno. She looks like too many other women out there in TV today.....neutral features, nothing really standing out about her looks. At least Helen Slater was striking enough looking for the feature Supergirl.
At least this gal looks better in the costume than Adrienne Palicki looked in the costume for the aborted Wonder Woman pilot. She looked more like a porno star in that get-up that the actual porno starlet did in a porn parody featuring Wonder Woman. Yeeesh.

This..........this..........looks like it fits all the other DC superhero shows, which seem to lean towards being superhero shows that try NOT to be superhero shows. It doesn't really ignite my interest.

I'm very disappointed in the casting of her - she is too plain Jane to me and the costume is a big fat D Minus and certainly I wouldn't bother with this show at all. I just find her - Melissa Benoist is no Laura Vandervoort and/or Helen Slater for the part of Supergirl.

The costume is so boring - I just can't stomach the awful "S" design of her uniform and the total absence of Yellow - with a notable exception of her belt makes me wonder what the heck is going around here. I'm not interested in this show at all.

I like it. It's simple, clean and she actually looks pretty damn cute to me here. I guess I'm really not that picky. Thanks for sharing this, SG!
