In case no one has heard yet, Paul Rudd is going to play Hank Pym in the (finally making it to the silver screen) Ant -Man movie.

It doesn't bother me in the least as I have no care for the character, but if it looks good I'll probably see it.

Anyone else care to weigh in?

I'm okay with this choice but it sounds like they're going for a wisecracking comedy hero than the depressed brooding insecure scientist with identity issues Hank Pym that I grew up with but then again, Chris Evans took typical comedic teeny bopper roles for a while and then he surprised me in a positive way with Captain America. Rudd might surprise me as Ant-Man but I'm going to go with "probably not".

I'm curious about the choice and direction as well, and maybe it'd be nice to have a little lighter tone to some of these movies (hopefully not over the top) but I guess you have to be a little crazy in the head to try to communicate with ants; much less become a being that can change their size...

I think it will work. At least there will be some personality there.

Im interested to see who or what he is gonna fight. I can't really think of a villain for the movie.
