Looking to fill the void of TRU, Party City is planning to open up 50 pop-up toy stores for the holiday season. 50 is a start but that's really one per state so who knows if they'll even be in my area or yours, or even how big they will be. The last day for TRU is the 28th, BTW, but I went to mine yesterday and there was pretty much nothing. They did a Geoffrey poster in the lobby you could take a picture with that said "I'll always be a Toys r Us kid" if anyone is into the nostalgia. Gonna be weird not going there.

There are hope in this and I feel talking some friends that Toy City will be an excellent source for Toys and among other things -- they are planning to includes some DC and Marvel toy figures and they wanted to includes them.

In my understanding (I'm might be either right or wrong) ... but, they are seriously thinking of a slow and maturely growth and will not make the same mistake as TOYS R US and having said that Party City/Toy City will try their best to make sure that every customer will be happy.

I hope this is the case here.
