I had to look up this version of Kyle too but it looks pretty bad @$$. And Mr. Hall executed it perfectly.

Re: HectorHall Doc Fate pg47

Postby HectorHall » Mon Feb 16, 2015 3:02 am

Never one to pass on a version of Doctor Fate, I was excited to read the issue of Multiversity featuring Doc Fate. The story did not disappoint. this world had more of a pulp hero feel to it and less of a super hero feel. When Felix Faust starts to cast a spell, Doc Fate stops him with a well planted kick!

So, I started with an Alan Scott DCUC figure, and used a Hal Jordan head. The helmet, gloves, and pants are sculpted. I dremeled down the details on his boots and resculpted them. The shirt front was made for me by my son, he pitches in when my skill at symetrical cutting falls flat. We used denim painted with acrylics for the shirt front and the shoulder things. The holster is from na DCUC Starman. The amulet is sculpted with milliput on a chain I picked up at the craft store. I was going to use the amulet from Phantom Stranger....but I hated it.

Like a fresh glass of OJ, that's full of pulpy goodness.

Thanks guys, the pulp look really drew me to this version, I wonder who I could drum up as companion pieces. The Abin Sur Green Lantern from the same comic is a thought, maybe I will revisit this corner again......

Thanks Webs,
Next up is Aqualad. He has been on the list for awhile and after picking up a few $6 dollar Freddie Freeman's, I had a head for a teenage Garth. I used the YJ aquald body. I dremeled off the fins on his legs and sculpted the boot cuffs.

Let me know what you think
