Not really a total custom, but this custom head adds so much to the Marvel Legends GROOT build-a-figure. I bought the custom head cast and painted it as close to the original head that came with him, even the mossy texture. "I am GROooooOT!"

Slinger, I was hesitant, at first, too, but wound up buying that fantasticly sculpted head. After I bought the head, I noticed that the seller is selling them for a few bucks more, already painted. It's more fun to paint your own, but it's great that he's offering painted ones for collectors that don't paint or customize figures.
