SDCC 2018 Exclusives

We're starting to see announcements for some of this year's SDCC exclusives, so I figured we might want to discuss some of the more interesting ones.

From NECA:
Hawkins from Predator! That's right, finally a Shane Black action figure, right in time for his directorial turn on the new Predator film. I assume a lot of reuse is involved here, possibly from other Predator characters or maybe the Contra figures. Curious to see if we'll see more of the crew down the line. I think we're all still waiting on Dillon.

Apparently directors are a big thing with NECA this year, because they're making teen heartthrob Guillermo Del Toro! (Can Jordan Peele be far behind? Greta Gerwig? That guy who made Three Billboards?) Obviously this goes along with their line of Del Toro figures, and I'm hoping that means we'll see some Shape of Water offerings at the show.

Kind of hoping the ML and Star Wars exclusives are meh so I don't have to worry about them.

I am wanting to hopefully get a set of those 90's movie turtles from NECA!!!

That giant city display you can get with the Turtles set is easily the best thing I've seen in the exclusives this year so far. I haven't seen anything yet I'm actually gonna pay money for, but if money wasn't an issue that would be the #1 for me.

The Turtles set itself is great, although I wonder about the displayability of the VHS-style box. Seems like it'd be prone to falling over like crazy.

Aphra is coming to stores but it looks like Triple-0 and BT are SDCC exclusives. If these were six inch I'd be pissed. This should so be a Target 3 pack in six inch scale.

Unless something else gets announced by Hasbro for MLs besides the MCU stuff, and there isn't any new SW stuff added, I may finally get to skip a SDCC and not have to worry about HTS. I would not complain.
