WWE/NXT: WWE Draft!!!

Postby BrandonDaCollector » Wed Feb 10, 2021 9:32 am

So this is the PG era topic. I like the stuff currently and before but I really miss those days of the Attitude era compared to this modern WWE. I put together all of the pics as a quick reference. Let's talk modern WWE, who's your fave wrestler and share your thoughts & memories :)

Recently, I got these e-mails from WWE & Peacock. If you are a WWE Network subber, this WILL BE important to you :!:

I don't know how I like the move nor Peacock. As much as I sometimes dislike the WWE Network because of the errors and the lack of "slow adding content" and "some missing content", I think at the moment anyway I like it WAY, WAY better than Peacock. Maybe this will change for Me?? I don't know yet. So the Network WILL BECOME OBSOLETE in the US but will continue INTERNATIONALLY for the time being :!: Why was this deal made? Well, the Network was only getting a million viewers if even that which was just a bonus to Vinnie Mac but he just got away with yet another bif deal but this time it was a deal with NBC to make billions :o :? :!:

Man, unfortunately, I stopped watching WWE wrestling by this time.

Shame dude, I mean sure today's stuff in wrestling doesn't match the classic stuff in the 80s & the 90s (but IMO really what does?) but I still find it exciting and you cannot beat the price. Heck, there is a ton of classic stuff from those years and beyond that, that is on the Network that I'm sure will be moved to Peacock.

Here is another newsletter I just got today:

Well, later dude :)

Well, I just signed up for Peacock and I must say it looks good. I like the large pictures and all but man-o-man is this LIBRARY PATHETIC...17,000 hours??? There is really nothing there yet :!: Where is NXT UK :?: :?: :?: I was behind an episode on 205 Live and the last one is from the 5th :!: Only a few WCW PPVs! I hope the library get's to where it was on the Network in a hurry because I was very disappointed how slow they were before as they just uploaded Prime Time Wrestling from 91 - 92 just a couple months ago but still, as lacking as it was it still was good & impressive :o I used the code which was a great deal and I still got ads but that really isn't a prob for Me. What is however is the the lack of content. All of those commercials about how great it is and will be and this is what is present :? I hope it improves really, really soon :x

After the WWE let go Zelina Vega, Andrade, Steve Cutler and Lars Sullivan a while back, they also fired many more talent, here is the April releases;

Samoa Joe, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Mickie James, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Mojo Rawley, Bo Dallas and Wesley Blake.

If that wasn't bad enough they just released several more names including two referees within the past two days :o Velveteen Dream, Alexander Wolfe, Jessamyn Duke, Vanessa Borne, Kavita Devi, Skyler Story, Ezra Judge, Drake Wuertz and Jake Clemons.

Shame about that, some of the reasons or the usual budget cuts but there has been some controversy towards some of them. I think it really a shame about Duke, she was My second fave of the Horsewomen next to Shayna

Keep it and it'll match the Black Wednesday of 2020

By the way, doing this reminds of the days when I was a wrestling news reporter back in the middle/late 90s on wrestling news web pages. Gosh it was so different then I mean it was the heyday of the Attitude era :!:

It's a shame about Velveteen Dream Guy was super-talented in the ring, but all that outside stuff killed his career. I know Rhonda had her posse, but I never thought Duke was good in the ring. Vanessa Borne on the other hand is someone I could see get a could run elsewhere, like Impact, NWA, or AEW, not as a top talent, but as a constant competitor. I always thought she put on good matches.

I can't wait for July to see where Joe and the IIconics land. Joe showing up on Impact to face Kenny Omega at Slammiversary would be amazing.

yeah, shame out Dream. Duke did need more training. Borne could be an excellent addition to AEW especially for their Dark shows IMO. I hope the Iiconics and Joe do land in either AEW or Impact, even if they go to Impact they still could appear fro AEW! Joe vs. Omega would be epic indeed!

Well, I was just thinkin' about last Monday's Raw on May 17, 2021 (gosh, a week already) during the opening segment of the show when Bobby Lashley is surprisingly escorted by five, hot & nice looking women. This was quite an unexpected part of the begin of Raw as it was a celebration of his win at Wrestlemania Backlash against Drew & Braun. I was really into this because of the women (its one of the many, many things that I loved during the Attitude Era with the Godfather and many of the women in wrestling in WWF, WCW & ECW), in fact, I thought it was one of the best promos this year. Lashley issued an open challenge, McIntyre comes out, answers and hits Lashley, when this happen the women ran away to safety and screamed in classic fashion :)

When it was all said and done, I realized that I was reminiscing My teenage years of the Attitude Era and again for countless times because it seems like every darn time that the WWE has a great thing gonin' and when people are gettin' just a bit excited for a change and a possible take of going back in the past of the hardcore age, they can't pull the trigger no matter what the heck it is! I mean this happen with CM Punk, RyBack & Cena and just recently Strowman & Lashley to name only a few over the past decade cause there is so much more than this! In fact, when Lashley & Strowman fought each other last year many people kept on saying how the Attitude era is back then it was this darn PG era has taken over and it was nothing but a harsh tease :(

With that being said, comparing these women of this era (whatever it "really" is) to women of the 90s/early 2000s, I think there're fine (I prefer the older women more however, its really, really hard beat the likes of Madusa, Sunny & Trish to name a few) so here is a little info plus some pics of them :!:

Image

These women are all Florida fitness models and mostly are on instragam and made their first appearances on TV. Briana Lewis, Daja Monte, Amanda Melendez, Ashley Ramputi and ‘Fit Model Valeria’ The two women that do it for Me is Briana & Daja :o

Image

Well, I could rant all day about they tease us, I mean I understand there will never, ever be another Attitude era from WWF, WCW and especially ECW or even that short time in TNA from the late 2000s & early 2010s. I just get so mad to put it mildly when things (on many subjects) looks like they could be similar like those times and then it is quick and doesn't last at all and its back to the same stuff as to why we thought of that in the first darn place :!:  :batrage:

Impact just had a Slammiversary commercial just after their last show advertising "releases" I really hope it's Joe and they uae him to get the title back but maybe with a chase until the fall. The Iconics would make the most sense for Impact as well since they have a womens tag title. Mid July is when they can sign, and Slammiversary is July 17. I guess if you're released from NXT it's only a 30 day no compete, so Chelsea Green is already in talks with Impact.
